“Siraj’s Six-Wicket Haul Propels India to ODI Victory Against Sri Lanka”

Mohammed Siraj brought Sri Lanka to their knees……….

Mohammed Siraj brought Sri Lanka to their knees in just the first six overs of the match by picking five wickets in that spell. Jasprit Bumrah started with a wicket on the third ball and then Siraj simply blew up the opposition’s batting line-up by taking just four wickets on the fourth ball. He then returned and dismissed Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka, completing a five-wicket haul in just his second match. As a result, Sri Lanka were reeling at 12/6 in 5.4 overs at this stage. The nightmare continued for the hosts and Siraj scored record figures of 6/21, the best by any bowler in the ODI against Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya took three wickets, ending Sri Lanka’s innings with two consecutive wickets in the first two balls of the 16th over.

Sri Lanka were at 50, their second-lowest score ever in an ODI. India opened with Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill, the pair then put on 32 runs in just three overs. They persevered and chased down the total in the seventh innings and thus India won the final with 10 wickets and 263 balls to spare.
